What an insight tells you
Every insight carries a consistent set of facts:- Impact — the amount and currency at stake.
- Severity & confidence — how much it matters and how sure Koala is.
- Time window & scope — the period and the part of your estate it applies to.
- Drivers — what’s actually moving the number (the services, regions, or resources behind it).
- Recommendation — the suggested action.
- Explanation — a plain-language narrative that ties it together.
Always backed by evidence
Every insight includes its evidence — the query, the aggregates, and sample rows that produced it. The narrative is written by the AI, but the numbers are not: they come from SQL over your own data. See The evidence principle.
