1. Get the Installer

  1. Visit the Koala download portal (the same link appears in your license email and Freshdesk articles).
  2. Choose the installer for your OS:
    • macOS: .dmg
    • Windows: .msi

2. Install

macOS

  1. Open the .dmg.
  2. Drag Koala Data Explorer Studio into Applications.
  3. On first launch, right-click > Open to bypass Gatekeeper if prompted.

Windows

  1. Run the Koala Data Explorer.msi you downloaded.
  2. Approve the BTSS Corp publisher prompt (signed binary).
  3. Follow the wizard; a Start Menu entry is created automatically.

3. Sign In & Update

  • Launch the app and sign in with your Koala credentials.
  • The in-app banner notifies you when a newer build is available; click Restart & Update to stay current.
